This song, assembled from pieces of a song by Jib Kidder originally called "Ringtone Cowboy" by Julia Holter, elicits all the feelings of sitting in one's room and listening to old, scratched Lee Hazelwood and Ann-Margret records, without having to concern oneself with the sexual politics of that partnership. The song is a beautiful reinterpretation of that '70s torch material, complete with an arrangement of throaty, sexy vocals. Holter plays with Kidder's more traditional country arrangements, taking them apart and repeating a guitar jangle for emphasis. The song is coming out on a remix companion to Kidder's Steal Guitars, out on States Rights Records soon.
