Plum, “Dead Leg”

Following up his acclaimed  2015 EP Black Doris, Plum – the bedroom recording project of multi-talented Caleb Jacobs – has brought his latest release to Impose. Today, we’ve got the video premiere for “Dead Leg”.

The video is exquisite, shot in black and white and focusing on all of the tiny, intricate details of Jacobs’ form. The camera shoots around him, filtering in glowing bits of natural light, and capturing his tranquil presence in performance. He moves in slow motion, and each moment is captured vividly. The song has a soothing air to it, something to enjoy while unwinding from a long, tiresome day.

“One can become so consumed in their surroundings that they forget to process things in order to leave them behind so they can grow,” explains Jacobs. “‘Dead Leg’ is about making a conscious decision to give time to process emotions and situations in order to move forward.”
