New York-based quartet Poppies – comprised of band members May, Ian, Keith, and TV Stevie – have only been playing together since earlier this year. The video for “Told”, directed by Brandon Tyson, tells the poignant story of an incident in one person’s life. Although the premise at first seems absurd, very quickly you buy into the narrative. “Told” is a perfect song for the video – thoughtful lyrics with measured pacing allow the story to be told completely. You will, without a doubt, look forward to more music from Poppies.
