Premiere: Solvent, “King Vincent”

In April the modular synthesizer documentary I Dream of Wires will begin screening at festivals on the East Coast and Midwest, but in the mean time documentary producer and co-writer Jason Amm, aka Solvent, has prepared a video for the track "King Vincent". The song is a dedication to Vincent Clarke, who is widely regarded as one of the original masters of the synthesizer, given his involvement in Depeche Mode, Yazoo, and Erasure. Talk to any analog synth musician and there's a good chance he or she will invoke the name Vincent Clarke once or twice in discussing how they fell in love with the equipment.

Catch screenings of I Dream of Wires at Moogfest on Saturday April 26 with appearances by Amm and director Robert Fantinatto and again on Sunday April 27. Boston's Together Festival and Chicago's CIMMfest will both screen the documentary in May, but schedules are still pending.
