Following the media releases from Relations' just released Songbirds album from 100m Records, we present the enticing video for "Comes". The Brooklyn band first said hello with "Goodbyes", got us believing like it was 1995 again on, "Believers", and now they bestow upon us their edgiest video yet.
On "Comes", it begins with our protagonist's evening time wake-up to enjoy cigarettes on a graffiti strewn corner. Following a few attractive gals for an evening of dive bar dances, and strip tease performances; their lusty antics close down the bar and wander back to our beau's pad for an tryst at daybreak. While the gigolo's date sleeps it off, roles become traded as he pulls a Mac Demarco — decking himself in lipstick and an ill-fitted dress before strutting his stuff on the streets. Keeping in accordance to Relations' sound and study of human behaviors and connections, "Comes" creates unexpected cross-dressing-cross-overs after an evening's exchange of attitudes overnight.
Frontman Mike Sanders talked to us about Relations' wildest, sexiest, and steamiest video yet, with "Comes".
"Our good friend Victoria is a pretty sick photographer. We loved her vision and aesthetic so we asked her if she was into making videos at all. Luckily she was! When we got the treatment she had put together we knew she had it perfectly — the exact right vibe. This is her first video, and I think it's pretty obvious she is going to be a director people are seeking out in the very near future…"
