Sudie – the 25 year old singer, songwriter, and musician who is making quite a name for herself – is working to outperform her critically-acclaimed 2015 self-titled EP. Her follow-up Prism EP is slated for a Fall 2016 release. In the meantime, we’ve got the exclusive premiere of the exquisite music video for her song “Schitzo”.
Shot in black and white to begin, this video looks like an episode of of I Love Lucy, or the beginning to an epic Marilyn Monroe major motion picture. Eventually, the video does hold varying ranges of color to it, emphasizing the red in her dress and lips. Sudie receives a dapper introduction and all, as the assistant to a magician planning to escape from binds while upside down. The camera focuses on her face, blurring in and out as she sings, “you make me feel like a psycho.” A super relatable track, Sudie brings a slice of insanity into the realm of love as she stands on stage. In the end, the magician still struggles to escape as Sudie walks backstage, quickly followed by a policeman.
Not exactly sure what we just watched, but we’re smitten.
