TATRAN, "Eyes"

Post Author: Justin Hernandez

Set in an ancient bell cave in TATRAN’s homeland of Israel, the music video for “Eyes” off of TATRAN’s upcoming record No Sides is an exotic, exhilarating visual work. The setting is alien, as are many of the characters that appear in the video and the loping rhythm of the track itself. At times it resembles a stroll through some futuristic art gallery and at others it is as though one is falling through a dream.
As the song reaches its crescendo, the video for “Eyes” climaxes with a visceral ritual performed by dancers with eyes we never see. While the video does not lack for visuals involving eyes, said images are layered in playful symbolism to the point where even holes in the cave walls themselves begin to look like enormous eyes looking in upon the proceedings. Ultimately, there is a danger and frightening beauty to the visuals for “Eyes” that captures the drama and grandeur of the music itself.
“Eyes” is the video for the first single off of TATRAN’s upcoming album No Sides due out June 2 on and available for pre-order now. You can follow TATRAN on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Bandcamp, and on their website at www.tatranmusic.com.
