This video has all of the jagged, uneven tempo you have come to expect from Brooklyn three-piece the Dreebs: one minute we are jerking around arrhythmically in piles of garbage with guitarist Jordan Bernstein, clad in one of his many trademark pieces of unique headwear; another moment we are cooly sipping an appletini with drummer Shannon Shaw staring under a green light against a stucco wall, in a room with a distinct aura of snoot slipping through the beaded curtain; and then we are in a dark backyard, under a harsh flash in front of a chain link fence where violinist and video director Adam Markiewicz is singing the lyrics into a confessional lens. Along with a good amount of blurry, difficult live, footage, this is a good representation of the mixture of ideas tossed around in a Dreebs song like toppings on a pasta salad. You can grab this track off of their LP on Rotted Tooth called Bait an Orchard
Like we mentioned above, these guys are departed Brooklyn earlier this week for a short jaunt out to Bitchpork this weekend in Chicago with PC Worship. Tonight you can catch the pair at Skylab in Columbus, tomorrow at The Ream in Bloomington, followed by the Friday at Bitchpork and Saturday at Cleveland's Marshalls 20 Lanes. Here's a poster all about it.
