HUNNY has a new track out and I’m in love. The Southern California based band is made up of Jason, Jake, Jacob, Gregory, Kevin, and Joey, and their latest track is called “Colder Parts”. It was written and produced by the band, mixed by Dave Schiffman (Sky Ferreira, Active Child, Thrice), and mastered by Howle Weinberg (Nirvana, Sonic Youth, Smashing Pumpkins, The White Stripes).
My immediate reaction is that this track reminds me of “Read My Mind” by The Killers. I can’t exactly put my finger on why this track reminded me of that – maybe it’s just some quality in the vocals that makes me draw that comparison – but either way, I’m a fan. The energy is electric in this piece and all the instruments compliment each other perfectly, never overpowering one another, with flawless vocals as the cherry on top. I’ll be listening to this track on repeat, what about you?
