In honor of the witching holiday, we thought we’d bestow upon you a fun gem of a music video by Dublin’s No Monster Club. The band – comprised of brainchild Bobby Aherne along with members of Popical Island – stars in the video, which was made for a song featured on their most recent 7″ vinyl, Where Did You Get That Milkshake?
The video starts with everyone asking each other where they got their milkshakes, and then leads into “the big gig,” a performance most of them don’t seem to realize is happening. They put their vinyl on in their band van on a travel record player, and find themselves on a misadventure of sorts with “Do The Mess Around” – a 50’s sounding vintage song – as the soundtrack. We’re partial to the swim creatures they dance around with, but the death of a bandmate might trump that idealistic visual pretty quickly.
