Sidizen King is an electro-rap, future-hop artist out of LA. He closed out 2016 with two #1 tracks on Hype Machine — we’ve got a feeling “Stuck in the Middle” has a great chance to find traction as well.
Sidizen found inspiration to create “Stuck in the Middle” within the complexity in romantic relationships between exclusivity and friendship:
“I wrote from the perspective of someone who is worried that the girl he’s been hanging with wants commitment that he’s not ready for. As the song progresses, he becomes conflicted and realizes that he does want exclusivity — only to find out that she’s the one unready to commit.”
If you aren’t a hip-hop fan, you very soon may become one thanks to Sidizen King.
“Stuck in the Middle” is an incredibly well-balanced hip-hop production, capitalizing on every hook, keeping each listener excited for the chorus.
Sidizen’s grit is featured side-by-side with the clearly meaningful explorations of what he wants out of the relationship. The result is the peak of authenticity — and a song that needs zero refinement. King must have left everything on the table for this one. We hope it pays off for him. 5/5.
