Autonomics

Catching up with Portland, Oregon’s Autonomics; press photo courtesy of the band.

Autonomics’ debut album Debt Sounds will be available September 8 & we give you a jubilant & ecstatic listen with the single “Bad Blood”. The group cranks up all the electrically amplified instruments at their disposal to make a rapid ripper that toasts the complicated energy that can run between two respective parties. Dan Pantenburg from Autonomics offered us the following exclusive reflections on the new single:

“Bad Blood” was written using an 80s Yamaha keyboard and a Sony TC-651 reel to reel stereo tape machine. Both were acquired only a few days before from an Elvis impersonator I met in a trailer park while delivering pizzas. The track itself is more of an outlaw song, a desperado theme, or the ballad of a new age Ronin. Sick forever, and forsaken by his kinsmen. They’ve got no trust in your mama/Got no hope for your son.
