Los Angeles trio Iconique is working on a remix EP for their exuberant & ultra-glamorous new single “Sitting Pretty” and we have the honor & privilege of presenting the world premiere of the Luxxury remix. Brothers Eric Promani on drums & synths, guitarist Greg Promani with vocalist/synthesist Leo Paparella break out of their local Echo Park haunts with their twists on disco tropes designed for the brightest neon lit dance floors of the world.

Clocking in at a nearly six minute re-realization; Luxxury’s remix of of Iconique’s “Sitting Pretty” gets itself all dolled up & done up for a warehouse rave or an all-nighter revue at a clandestine location known only by the privileged few. Luxxury latches onto the disco components of Iconique’s own iconic trademarks by transforming “Sitting Pretty” in something for the progressive house-heads and EDM afficionados that prefer their dance tracks to have a rich array of production elements & arrangements to absorb & enjoy.

Iconique shared their own exclusive thoughts on how Luxxury transformed their single:

I wrote “Sitting Pretty” after binge watching one too many Bette Davis films. I wanted something jaded from the perspective of someone who’d seen the plywood behind those old Hollywood backdrops. I think our band often is about tapping into the hollowness of glamour, and disco as a genre is the perfect vehicle to execute that cynicism. That’s where Luxxury steps in, I’ve adored their sound for a while. As soon as it came to remixing the track, I knew they’d be a fitting collaborator.
