John Moods

Presenting The Essential John Moods courtesy of Mansions & Millions, the anticipated solo album from Jonathan Jarzyna of Fenster. Abiding by the solitary DIY spirit, Jonathan’s John Moods outfit delivers songs of reflection, meditations on experience & other short stories set to a cycle of songs that will stir the mind as you go about your day & night routines.
The entrancing modes & gentle styles that make up The Essential John Moods starts off with the evening dalliances & fancy footing on “Dance With the Night”, that steps dearly into the romantic pondering of instincts & intuition on “Leap of Love” to the candid realizations of “New Spring” (complete with field recordings of birds that dovetail with the track’s woodwinds). Thoughts on the acts of carrying life’s burdens are felt on the beauty of “The Weight”, to the already beloved Sean Nicholas Savage collaboration “Take It Home” that is a song that perfect for the long journey back to one’s abode after a long tour on the road. The John Moods realm offers an array of arts to dream upon like the globe spinning “Where in the World”, or the transitory interludes enjoyed on the synth-locomotion of “Train Ride”, the pensive places of “Dark Wall”, the meditative intimacy of “Pawns” to riding the equator of existential thought on “Almost Gone”. Jarzyna masters the creation & re-creation of atmospheres & environments as heard on “Coastal Way”, beginning the album’s parting goodbyes on gentle expressions of goodwill on the synth-salute “Take Care” that then leaves the audience with the relaxation instructive finale “Relax Your Foot” that brings the entire body, mind & spirit to an ease & calm as all material cares fall by the wayside.

We also present some original words by the man himself, John Moods

Hello world, this is my travel record. I had been trying to finish music on the side for quite a while and always found it hard until I went on this trip not at all thinking I would even make music and suddenly there I was with the urge, the technology (my phone) and the mind set. All the ingredients for a musical soup. You could say it’s a spiritual album as I was on a pilgrimage but the only wisdom I think it really contains is that of a fool, which according to some is worth something. I am still a little confused as to why I or anything even exists and I am trying to find some meaningful perspective through music. May this album be gentle and soothing to you all. I promise by the magic of this introductory note, to keep trying to improve and make music forever past the silly boundaries of time and death. Much love. JM

The Essential John Moods will be available April 20 via Mansions & Millions.
