Exray’s clockwise from 12 oclock—Jon Bernson, Jason Kick, & Michael Falsetto-Mapp.

In celebration of this past date of December 12, Exray’s released this extended remix edition for their single “Begin Your Life” featuring re-workings from Glenn Jackson, Parentz, & slowya.roll. In the words of the group’s own Jon Bernson:

In honor of 12/12 (a sacred day in the Exray’s calendar), we are releasing a limited run of twelve 7″ singles! Begin Your Lives is a polycarbonate lathe-cut record that includes a digital download of our most recent album, Twelve.

The explorations elaborated from the outer dimensions explored on Twelve are joined with fellow local Bay Area denizens of future dance & expansions of electronic music’s progression & evolution. Enter Glenn Jackson’s take on “Begin Your Lives” that discovers a new intelligent warehouse design from Exray’s original formula. The remix from Parentz discovers a hidden suspense thriller soundtrack that existed in the track’s DNA all along where moody synths move like anthropomorphic entities complete with vocal tempo effects that keeps everything extra odd & interesting. The entire re-rendering suite is completed with the slowya.roll remix that rages with understated touches of the soft, sentimental & surreal that introduces a new edit alteration of the speed & tempos of electro-imbued expressions from the Exray’s camp.
