Anticipation has been building toward the release of Tangina Stone’s April slated album Elevate, following up her 2014 debut The Fall. A debut full-length that tackles the inward upsets & unrests that rise out of struggles where Tangina faces down mental matters, earnest expressions that interjects honesty everywhere in a quest to seek that sanctuary & solace from the the onslaught of wreckage that life deals us with.
Sporting production from WOLFGVNG, Tangina Stone presents a first listen to “Anxious” featured off the forthcoming atmospheric album Elevate. The sentiments of anxiety are elevated to real levels as Stone spells out the expressions in lyrical forms that recreates that ruckus of situations of instability involving unsuitable suitors. Everything from codependent impulses, star-crossed desires, & one sided expressions seeking a requited response are displayed over an atmosphere that exhibits a sense of emotional weight that words will not ever convey. Tangina Stone provides you with an exclusive introduction to her long awaited single “Anxious” with the following exclusive introduction:

My personal life is what inspired me to write “Anxious”. For so long I was holding on to very negative feelings that revolved around a traumatic experience with my anxiety. I was in a bad relationship. She wanted to leave. I didn’t think that I could survive if she left. I didn’t think that I was strong enough. So I attempted to end my life. I hurt myself. It made nothing better. It was the kind of wound that caused more than just physical pain. Long after the scars healed, the wound was still there.

My album is titled “Elevate”, because elevation requires separation. After writing “Anxious” and telling the story behind it, I began to heal. I separated myself from the pain of the past. I freed myself so to speak. Now that I am free, I can elevate. It is my hope that this song can inspire others to free themselves of their struggles with mental health as well. It is my hope that this song will help people to finally acknowledge and address their issues with mental health. It is important. We all deserve to live free of the burdens associated with mental illness. The time to do so is now. Right now.
