While the name Young Summer would normally have us nostalgic for warm months, we’re transitioning quite nicely into cooler weather, and Young Summer is helping us out with that. Her song “Echo” is absolutely captivating, utilizing her powerful vocals – reminiscent of Sara Bareilles – and the beautiful instrumentals to envelope us in a sense of freedom we hadn’t known in recent weeks. The emotional lyrics propel us into a mind frame that begs us to both dance to the beat and sit, motionless, asking existential questions. “Echo” brings a lot to the table, and we’re ready to explore it.
