This 4th of July, when your smashing down hamburgers, freedom fries and beers with the American Flag on them, why not add a little color to your side dish?
Traditionally fermented saurkraut is a great way to bring out nutrients, aid digestion and preserve seasonal vegetables. But, I bet you didn't know it's also a great way to add a gimmicky feel to your BBQ.
So throw a little red (pepper), white (onion) and blue (berry) into your next batch of kraut. My original recipe for this simple fermented food is here.
