Using dark, new-wavey synths and a crispy beat, MJ Guider gives a new track, “Prima”, some morose life. The darkness here isn't challenging darkness, as the vocal melodies eventually breach into sweetness from their monotone beginnings, but there are moments where the underlying heavy bass can trick you into wide, worn sadness. It's convenient, then, that this will be on a batch release from Constellation Tatsu out this December—there's no better time to lean into cold sadness than in the depths of winter. Feel it out below, then look for this at CT in the coming months alongside releases from Hakobune and Pulse Emitter.
