Aesop Rock turns unused beats into megamix

Aesop Rock just unleashed a 30-minute megamix of what he's calling unreleased “beats, loops, bleeps, boops, and crap that didn't make it.”

Entitled “The Blob”, the megamix is a collection from the cutting room floor of Aesop Rock's studio, which despite having no use for, he took the liberty of having it mixed and mastered for our enjoyment. Posted for free download on the Rhymesaysers Soundcloud, “The Blob” might not have lived up to Aesop Rock's standards, but to us, it's a healthy dose of head-nod production tied together with movie clips that will remain in rotation until the next official Aesop Rock project.

Aesop Rock had the following insight to offer on “The Blob”:

The Blob is 32 minutes of beats & sounds that have otherwise been orphaned by their hell-bound father. It is largely unmixed and occasionally offensive.
James Lynch played bass on the one that sounds like an elf orgy.
Allyson Baker played guitar on the last one.
Mastered by Joey Raia.

Aesop Rock's Skelethon is out now on Rhymesayers.
