An artist that’s causing a significant online buzz since the start of the year, Emma McGrath seems dead set on smashing 2018 out of the park. Previous releases ‘Butterfly’ and ‘Love You Better’ received astounding support from BBC Introducing, and a significant amount of online publications. Both tracks also topped the Hype Machine and were picked up by a number of key Spotify playlists.
It’s all going pretty swimmingly then, and a key example of the importance of the PRS Women Make Music grant, that Emma was awarded in 2017. The fund is part of a number of financial opportunities that give musicians a financial hope, to get their music heard.
The final result of the project is the stunning ‘Silent Minds’. A 6-track EP or ‘Mini-Album’, showcasing Emma’s incredible songwriting ability. Emma seems to have an uncanny ability of telling a lifetime of stories, at the tender age of just 18. The project is a potent mix of pop accessibility and intricate, purist songwriting.
