Spin had the immense plea$ure/re$ource$ to premiere this new track from Brooklyn's most raucous dream-pop Dadaists, Beach Fossils. It's been a while since we heard from Dustin Payseur, the group's frontman, and the rest of the gang. We'll let the band's label Captured Tracks get more specific:
“The 7-inch is the first release by the band since their 2011 EP “What a Pleasure.” The single is a reflection of their high energy live shows. Dustin (Beach Fossils) is currently writing and recording their next album due out later this year.”
It definitely sounds like Beach Fossils (not a complaint). However, it seems the production values have ramped up for the once blatantly lo-fi band. Guess what? This music transcends high-fidelity at an even greater plane than at low (imagine that). Somewhere, John Mau5 is holding Ariel Pink-o's hair back as he regurgitates in a study hall rubbish bin.
