Newcomer Beat Culture shares with us the first single off his October 11 release Forgive. The soft, lo-fi grooves, along with the hushed vocals supplied by Swedish producer NIVA, make up a dreamy, ambient track. Although the song starts off gentle and tropical, it progresses into a piece of heavier electronics.
Beat Culture is 18 year-old Sunik Kim, and although he is just getting started, he has proved himself to be an incredibly ambitious producer. Kim's Japanese influence is made clear in this track, with soft synth hits almost reminiscent to the traditional koto instrument, along with harder, almost 8-bit arpeggio. Listen to “Orange (ft. NIVA)” below, and be sure to grab Forgive out October 11 on Japanese label Art Union. Also, feel free to support Kim on his Indiegogo page to help him reach his dream of printing vinyl.
