Black Moth Super Rainbow bassist Dreamend eats himself

Graveface continues to be the label of record for all things Black Moth Super Rainbow related that are not Tobacco.

Along with the Seven Fields of Aphelion debut LP from BMSR contributor Maux Boyle, BMSR bassist and Graveface label owner Ryan Graveface has been releasing material under the Dreamend moniker for the past half decade. His latest, So I Ate Myself, Bite By Bite, will be out on the label August 10.

Miraculously, perhaps, the lead-off single seems to float in the same other-worldly suppleness where BMSR and Seven Fields both hover. The track, “Magnesium Light”, starts in as a bucolic psych folk tune, banjo meeting drum kit halfway. It's only when the vocal melody walks in that you know we're hitting the same stride, sans vocoder, as many a great BMSR tune.
