Just over a year ago Bon Iver was a dude with a beard, a guitar, and a broken heart. Today, he is still a dude with a beard, guitar, and a heart that has probably mended with all the money he has made since the release of his debut LP, For Emma, Forever Ago. Unlike his solo outing, the debut by his new band Volcano Choir is a little less hermit-in-the-woods-of-Wisconsin, and a bit more sunshine. The band's made up of the man behind the moniker, Justin Vernon, and the guys from the band Collection of Colonies of Bees, and I'm willing to make bets that one of the songs will end up on the soundtrack of a film starring Michael Cera. Any takers?
