We really love Colorado's Candy Claws' new track, but did they really have to call it “Sunbeam Show?” Really?
Sunbeam show, it is. This song is drug music at its finest, vocals barely there like sand grains swirling in reverb, getting caught in the dinner coattails of the bleary synth orchestra holding it down in the gently winding gyre.
If these guys were to ever open for Beach House on a national tour, it would turn red states into blissed out blue states, leave socialist utopias modeled after Smurf Villages in their wake, along with legal gay marriages, public consumption of opiates, and a new golden era in which guitars truly die at the hands of the mighty, mollifying synthesizer.
