Colleen D’Agostino, “From Up Here (Easy Girl Remix)”

Post Author:

Singer/songwriter Colleen D’Agostino (The Material) has garnered a lot of attention with her solo electro-pop career and collaborations with deadmau5. Her Collide EP – released on mau5trap – is getting a revival of sorts, as Easy Girl has taken Colleen’s critically-acclaimed song “From Up Here” and remixed it to bring a fresh take to the track. We’ve got your exclusive premiere right here.

The track is slightly more uptempo, Colleen’s vocals having been brought up slightly in pitch. The synth starts almost immediately on it, adding an interesting ethereal aspect to it. It’s absolutely got more of a place in the house world, and we can’t stop dancing. We dare you to stay off your feet with this one.

“‘From Up Here’ is a song about feeling stuck, and the catharsis that comes from just getting lost and escaping what’s normal and comfortable with the person you love,” elaborates Colleen. “The original track had a chill vibe but I love the new life that Shaun (Easy Girl) has breathed into the track with this remix.”

Keep up with Colleen here.
