Document, “Turnstile”

Michael Giordano

Having moved their practice space from an underground bomb shelter to a junkyard in recent years, the Tel Aviv 5-piece Document has found a way to contradict the isolation with high-energy extroverted gems like their newest single, “Turnstile.” However, as fun as it is, the band’s attention to detail is what makes the song stand out. The meticulous structuring and seamless transitions take their signature 80s feel and turns it into something new and daring. But at the end of it all, it’s those damn catchy chants and hooks of theirs that are going to stick with you.
