Born Bad Records, the Parisian outpost who has routinely released numbers of incredible French records over the years, will be putting out a psych-inspired darkwave record by Dorian Pimpernel. Forgive the gawky name for a second to tune into “Ovlar E,” a track that throws the listener into the distant past, sitting cross-legged in a garden and dreaming up kaleidoscopic colors and images. There isn't a sharp edge anywhere to be found and the pleasant melody dips in and out like a daydream.
“Ovlar E” will feature on Allombon, Dorian Pimpernel's forthcoming record. It releases on Born Bad on March 30, preorders for which are available here.
