As a self-described ordinary girl, the latest release from English Singles gives me some good vibing feels. The Sacramento staples come through with a new three-track EP with this little poppy number reminiscent of motown jammers and summer BBQs. The song comes from a pure swerve-pop group that feels wholly singular-minded and timelessly referential. On “Ordinary Girls”, you can hear waves of fun pop jangles and a dash of that DIY aesthetic, though if their SoundCloud tells you anything it's that they are not lo-fi. Whatever they are, we can imagine our heads bopping along to this beat on the daily—the hook is already stuck in my head.
The EP is out on Slumberland Records now, and you can pick it up here.
