Mount Wittenberg Orca is the collaborative album written by David Longstreth and performed by his band Dirty Projectors with Björk. It's due to be released in a super deluxe LP with a “three-dimensional lenticular sleeve” (?), 180 gram heavyweight vinyl and that most coveted of glossy acoutrements, a 12-page large-format full color book. A handful come signed by Dirty Projectors.
What's on the vinyl grooves? Perhaps exactly what you'd expect, if you're familiar with the heavy vocal-harmonies sprinkled through the Projectors' Bitte Orca, and with more than three mintues of Björk's output. It's a lovely fusion, with Amber Coffman, Angel Deradoorian and Haley Dekle blasting heavily panned harmonics not under so much as beside Björk's tell-tale croon. Enjoy “On and Ever Onward”
