North of the Golden Gate is Marin county, a notably affluent area of Nor Cal that is rife with rolling green hills that could be a convincing substitute to filming in Ireland. It's also an excellent backdrop for a Jake Mann + The Upper Hand video.
Jake Mann + The Upper Hand “Days Are Long” from TERROREYES.TV on Vimeo.
Based in San Francisco, Jake Mann + The Upper Hand recently released Parallel South on Crossbill Records. The album was first recorded in the trio's garage rehearsal space, then given a more spacious feel by recording additional tracks in an
abandoned WWII-era theater. Terroreyes.tv elected to take the spaciousness a step further by traveling to the Marin Headlands to record “Days Are Long” in a squatter's hole of some sort under a bridge or highway. The acoustics are tremendous as the drums echo down the tunnel, while Jake Mann sings of the long running days.
