Columbus based musician La Poré makes his debut return, releasing the new track “Missing It”. The man behind the contemporary voice and instrumental work is Nick Samson. Nick spent years writing as a drummer and then one day finally decided to take his talents and use them elsewhere to create a solo project. Samson then developed a strange fascination with keyboards and the idea that he could create something so atmospheric and ambient. La Poré draws influence from artists such as Prince, Michael Jackson and most recently the group Blood Orange. His Single “Sad Girl” reached #4 on hype machines top 50 popular songs list and eventually gained notoriety for its feature on Kitsuné Hot stream. “Missing It” will be featured on the 18 song compilation Kitsuné America 5: The NBA Editon. This release will be 1 of 5 pre-released singles before the actual release of the compilation on February 17th.

The fine art that is “Missing It” presents us unexpectedly with a smooth track indeed. We may find it impossible to sit still as some of us might burst uncontrollably into a dance. This is a dreamy and ethereal track, full of yearning and nostalgia that is full of breezy synths, and melodies that will accompany you down the Pacific Coast Highway. La Poré stands his ground as a contender in the indie pop world with “Missing It”.
