Lee “Scratch” Perry, “Jesus is a Soul Man” (produced by CLams Casino)

Lee Scratch Perry

Ethan Higbee and Adam Bhala Lough recently came out with a documentary called The Upsetter: The Life and Music of Lee “Scratch” Perry, dealing with Perry’s life and musical legacy over the last five decades. Benicio Del Toro narrates, and Lil B. called it “the best film ever.” Today, a free BitTorrent Bundle has been released in conjunction with the film, featuring exclusive never-before-seen artwork by Perry, photos of him, new footage not included in the documentary, and an unreleased song called “Jesus is a Soul Man”, produced by Clams Casino. In the track, Perry's hushed spoken-word plays over a translucent melodic ambience, giving listeners something to hold onto long after the movie ends.
