Lungs and Limbs, “Lightspeed”

Post Author:

You say you’re looking for a new go-to artist for thrilling, energy-driving music? Alt-pop quartet Lungs and Limbs can undoubtedly slake that thirst. With Karina Rousseau’s vocals commanding an overwhelmingly refreshing round of instrumentals–delicately woven by Nick Tudor, Matt Power and Chris Casey–they are not known to disappoint. We’ve got the exclusive premiere of the second single off of their upcoming album for you. Right now.

With its interesting bass line enveloped in synths and hard-edged guitar that would, quite honestly, melt your face off on its own, this song is everything you need to forget that the end of summer is upon us. As noted previously, Karina’s vocals are stunning–ethereal in nature, and just breathy enough to leave you captivated by the sound–and the progression of the instrumentals is almost more than we can handle in one song.

If it seems like I’m gushing at this point, it’s because I am.

Play this over a montage of summer’s most intense and freeing moments–as sweaty as they may have been–and it’s just invigorating enough to feel like a movie montage. I expect this track–and Lungs and Limbs–to do great things.
