Lysol, “Demo”

Post Author:
Lysol

Upstart Seattle punk group Lysol is tellingly composed of players from Nudes and Freak Vibe. The former issued a spate of wily, positively malnourished hardcore 7-inches—most memorably Stain, via Iron Lung—while the latter opted for more of a sickly swing, evocative of bogs and swamps the world over. Lysol’s demo—which preceded another tape release, On the Corner, available via Perennial though apparently not streamable online—is a proper composite of the player’s earlier outings, coupling the mid-tempo swagger and bombast of regional peers like Vexx with serrated vocals. Below, stream the demo and watch the band’s first show from July, pulled from the guitarist’s self-described “VHS zine,” Tape Appeal.
