Last Summer, Impose Magazine premiered the arena-ready rocker “Closer” from the NJ-based group Modern Crowds. Now, the band is back with a music video for the track shot at the legendary Saint in Asbury Park.
“We decided to shoot a live video for ‘Closer’ because of all the songs on the record, this one seemed like the heaviest rocker,” shares the band’s Joe Pellegrinelli. “Also it’s one of those songs that just has this raw, aggressive energy and we thought that would translate well as a live performance-based video. After generating a lot of positive audience response, the song has become something of a staple for our set-lists and we always have a blast when performing it.”
The video also marks an end of an era for Modern Crowds as Doug Gatta (bass) and Charlie Kupilik (drums) are moving on to focus on their own projects. Here’s hoping the band is back in action rocking “Closer” again soon. Check out the video below and be sure to follow Modern Crowds here.
