This is the sound of sludgy hardcore that's recorded so deeply into the red that it buzzes like destroyed saw-toothed destructo-styled synthesizers.
That it's actually blended and crushed bass and guitar and feedback of course translates to an incredibly visceral cut, where you can basically feel the basement sweat getting musty under your own arm pits.
Last time we heard from Twin Stumps, it was because one of their members, Michael Yaniro, had been violently attacked. It's great to know that the band is moving forward with their third release and debut LP, Seedbed, out April 20 on Fan Death Records.
