Ollie Hussey – “Credence”

Lancashire native crafts emotive new indie ballad

Mancunian songwriter Ollie Hussey returns with one of his most affecting and joyously emotive new singles in the form of “Credence.” It’s the sound of a rising songwriter with a soulful affliction for his craft, and there’s a lo-fi aesthetic to the release with warm harmonies throughout. It’s a track that addresses his own issues with mental health, narrating in two parts, before and after the national lockdown and how his mental state affected his own relationships.

Now based in Wales, Hussey’s creative force drives him beyond the borders of standard production practices. Due to financial strains, his tracks are recorded solely using an iPhone and his guitar, emphasizing the depths of the rising songwriter’s dedication to his craft.
