Parts and Labor's early days

The ever-consistent Pukekos serves up a fantastic chunk of testimonials about early Parts and Labor history, and with that a partially blacked-out vision of Brooklyn circa six years ago.

Anecdotes include Pukekos' BJ Rubin being regularly confused with Parts and Labor's BJ Warshaw, Chris Weingarten's account of being in the band and giving David Bowie directions during mixing sessions for Stay Afraid, and unresolved accusations involving taking a crap in a bathtub.

As always, Rubin has supplied a completist's compilation of the band's pre-Jagjaguwar releases, along with a slew of early show posters back in the day when TV on the Radio and Matt and Kim were the local headliners.

All that here.
