“It’s about feeling like shit when your ex is dating someone else.” Well it seems like the Houston-based Young Girls are quick to move on. The band has announced the release of their self-titled EP, due out January 28, which features the cathartic single “Caroline,” a nostalgic garage-punk track with vocal harmonies that seem nearly impossible to be sung out of anything but pure elation. Coupled with some scuzzy and zestful guitar licks, the track is sure to bring out the optimist in even the most helplessly heartbroken.
