Priests, “Right Wing”

DC's Priests are what you get when you mix the raw vocal ferocity of Exene Cervenka with classic bass-driven post punk and spunky harmonizing/call-and-response à la Sleater-Kinney. Last year, they put out Tape Two on cassette-only, taking a powerful hammer to the DC music scene. “Worship me politely,” growls lead singer Katie Alice Greer (also of Chain and the Gang) on new track “Right Wing,” taken from the band's forthcoming debut EP Bodies and Control and Money and Power. Whether or not the religious type, you'll find it hard not to oblige.

Bodies and Control and Money and Power is out June 3, via Don Giovanni Records, with pre-orders to start soon. Stream “Right Wing” below.
