Reginald Omas Mamode IV, “Talk To Me”

The succinct description on London Singer Reginald Omas Mamode IV’s Facebook page: “clapping your hands and stomping your feet,” That’s just what the artist’s latest single, “Talk To Me” compels a listener to do. Mamode has achieved notoriety with a silky, sophisticated brand of R&B that pulls from electronic, funk and hip-hop. On his latest track, he floats over a punchy, slightly askew bassline to offer confidence to the person of his affection.

Similar to his 2013 “Do You” track, Mamode repeats his, “you can always talk to me” refrain throughout the song, allowing the groovy soundscape to offset the relatively heavy topic with a vibe that summons one to the dancefloor. If you don’t want to talk, you can at least two-step.

“Talk To Me” is the first track from his self-titled debut album on Five Easy Pieces, coming October 14th. The project is available for pre-order on the label’s website. You can listen below.
