Blissed Out sent out “Tie Dye Flowers” from their upcoming Mirror Universe tape, White Triangle, eight new tracks on a “strictly limited to 100 copies” black c31 that won't otherwise be available via digital download.
The track leaves behind the racket they pressed to vinyl on their first self-released Secrets EP, but the process was still entirely live and without overdubs.
While they used the panoptic audio from Silent Barn's mad scientist Party Lab set up for Secrets, where mics are strung throughout the space to record not only the performance but also the basement chatter and the passing traffic, tracks for White Triangle were recorded in the peaceful confines of the currently shuttered Market Hotel, where they had the privilege of recording daily, with recording help from Ric Leichtung.
The results sound a lot more mature, focused, dreamy, smooth, (psst chill), and the sopping wet vocals sound great.
