The inquisitive boys from Brooklyn are back with a new single, off of an older tape called True Waste being re-released next month by Brooklyn's Old Flame Records, responsible for albums from other groups such as Dinowalrus and Cloud Nothings. The track starts with a bubbly rewind, and when the guitar starts it's funneled over to the right side, grinding bass in the left, balancing it out. A noise-rock anthem, “Slap-Dash” celebrates the very modern tendency to throw things together at the last minute. Adding in weird elements, like pumping up the echo on one vocal refrain, or squealing all over the frets in a futuristic manner in another, keeps the song from being a standard addition to the rock canon.
