So Many Wizards started as Nima Kazerouni's solo project as a personal expressive outlet of feelings, thoughts, and Merlin-approved soundscape magic. An Iranian refugee who travelled around the world before he arrived in LA, Kazerouni released the first SMW EP Tree while expanding the Wizards to a four piece rounded out by Erik Felix, Geoff Geis and Frank Maston. They made the BBC 1 jump with their single “Inner City” and are now prepping their album Warm Nothing for JAXART. We have the opening cut “Never Wake Up” to start your stay-in-bed day off proper.
Leading off are astral plane observations that reveal the expansive possibilities of conjoined parallel lives. “Why, do you waste all your time, buried in one life, you're buried in one life, there is so much…” Lie down and never wake up on a musical date that begins with star-gazing visions of lives bonded in unison and bed-ins for a personal kind of peace. Nima and company start the album off with a push past synergistic bonds for something beyond borders and beyond trendy styles constrained by constricting waters, aiming to join different mysticisms, mythologies, and combined indie pop sorceries together.
So Many Wizard's new album Warm Nothing comes out August 7 from JAXART. Pre-order available here.
