KAIROS is the solo project of La Luz bassist Lena Simon. KAIROS is a drastic departure from La Luz, the Seattle-based Hardly Art surf punk band. Simon's self-titled EP is six tracks of quietly devastating, unconventional dream pop that promises to defy your expectations.
Ranging from the solemn and lucid “Casanova”, to the distorted “Dirt & Grit”, to the atmospheric synth pop of “Can/Cannot”, the catchiness of this EP will grab your attention. Simon coined her solo project after the ancient Greek word for “the defining moment,” and this certainly feels like one.
