Yohsuke Araki, the incredibly talented Philadelphia songwriter previously/currently of BAnanas Symphony, has a new project under his belt called The Interest Group and the first track from a forthcoming 7″ is full of winsome vintage melody. “Vagabond Dreamer” is a lovely, commanding duet between male and female vocals, and it feels as though it could have come out in the 60s to be performed in front the American Bandstand audience. It prominently features a wildly strummed mandolin that takes us to the gondolas of Venice without even knowing it. Are we dreaming or is this reality?
