Thump Launch party

Ensuring a heavy presence of MDMA but no Great White disasters, Vice's new electronic dance music and culture channel, THUMP, will officially launch on June 20 on Pier 84 at Hudson River Park in New York City with a display of digital eye-candy amidst DJ sets by Zedd, Duke Dumont and TOKiMONSTA. In an attempt to make them more appealing to stare at, the DJs will be encapsulated in an LED lit stage that was designed by 1024 architecture. But in what will undoubtedly be the undoing of at least one bad-trip, event attendees will be able fire off specialized fireworks and pyrotechnics from mobile devices located on platforms on the pier, creating the first-ever interactive fireworks show.
