When Mac DeMarco is not giving Dent May the finger or releasing our favorite album of October or playing with his bandmates Christian parts, he plays along in Walter TV. On Appetite the band of merry Canadian pranksters do a bit of Strawberry Jammin', the bury a surfy freakout in eight tons of blown out shit tape, and utilize the same U-Vibe EFX that made “Planet Caravan” feel sung while snorkeling. Walter TV screetch out some Avey Tare-esque childhood wonder on “Nose Bleed” and “In My Room”, blista their fingers on “Necessity”, and drop acid in the red cups of Ivy League afrobeat on “Lo Noise”.
